Alien life forms have spread throughout the U.S.-Mexico border region leading to the quarantine of half of Mexico. The U.S. and Mexican militaries are battling to contain the creatures, with a wall stretching along the American border. The film starts with a scene of an army patrol driving on an empty road in the middle of the night. An explosion takes place flipping one of the vehicles. The following brief scenes show US soldiers firing at the tentacled creature that ambushed the patrol.
