Shrek has become a domesticated family man. Instead of scaring villagers away like he used to, the grown-reluctant ogre agrees to autograph pitch forks. However, he longs for the days when he felt like a "real ogre". So, Shrek is tricked into signing a pact with the smooth-talking dealmaker, Rumpelstiltskin. Shrek suddenly finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where Fiona is a hunted ogre, Rumpelstiltskin is king, Donkey) has never met Shrek in his life, Puss in Boots is obese and lazy, and Shrek and Fiona had never met. Now Shrek must stop Rumpelstiltskin from his deeds and make the world right again.
